REETH MAZUMDER-ROBERTS
writer, director and producer
I am a writer-director-producer based in Toronto, I am a woman of colour. My work as a director involves both fiction and non-fiction storytelling. I firmly believe that every creative person's personal ethics and perspective towards life reflect in their work, and my approach revolves around art and its diverse expressions.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Film Practice at Bournemouth University, and I am also an alumnus of Toronto Film School's Writing for Film and Television Program. Additionally, I am a Creative Leadership Award Winner and a Valedictorian for my graduating class 2023 in Bachelor of Creative Arts at Yorkville University, Canada.
I have written, directed, and produced multiple shorts, features, and cinematic documentaries. Alongside these, I have co-created a Sitcom.
My storytelling expertise is in human drama, and I excel in portraying emotions that are often overlooked. I have a particular affinity for vintage aesthetics and forgotten narratives.
